OctaneDesk

Terms of Use

OctaneDesk turns the tank readings you already take into a daily fuel book, a variance check, and a days-to-empty forecast. By using OctaneDesk, you agree to these terms.

• Free for owners, forever. There is no charge to enter readings, keep your book, or send an order message to your own distributor through the tool.
• Your readings, your data. Your station's readings, history, and records belong to you. OctaneDesk works from the numbers you type in — stick readings, delivery gallons, and pump totals — and you are responsible for the accuracy of every number you enter and for taking readings the way your rules require.
• Your compliance duties stay yours. All underground storage tank (UST) duties — inventory control, release detection, testing, record retention, and reporting — remain entirely yours, exactly as they are today.
• A record-keeping aid, nothing more. OctaneDesk is a private record-keeping and planning tool. It is not a certified release-detection method, not a statistical inventory reconciliation (SIR) service, and not a government site — and it does not replace any compliance method your state or federal rules require. A variance flag is a prompt to check your tanks and your numbers; it is not a finding of a leak, and no flag is not proof there is none. Suspected releases must be handled under your state's rules.
• Forecasts are planning aids. Days-to-empty figures, low-fuel alerts, and suggested order quantities are estimates from your entered readings and recent sales pace. They are not guarantees — check your actual tanks before you rely on one.
• Ordering stays between you and your distributor. Your distributor is your fuel seller of record: it sets your price, invoices you, delivers, and collects. OctaneDesk never sells, delivers, or handles fuel, and never touches fuel money.
• Provided "as is." We work to keep the tool running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error-free. Keep whatever paper or backup records your own compliance program requires.
• Stop anytime. You may stop using OctaneDesk at any time, with no notice and no fee. Export your records first — especially any you are required to retain.

Privacy

• What we collect: your sign-in email, your station's details, and the tank readings and delivery figures you enter. That is what the book needs to work — nothing more.
• Who sees your readings: if your distributor participates in OctaneDesk, it can see readings and forecasts for its own participating stations only — never another distributor's stations, and never yours if it is not your distributor.
• Your data is never sold. We may use anonymized, aggregated figures (for example, regional fuel-demand trends) in a form that does not identify your station.
• Export or delete on request. You can export your data at any time while your account is active, and you can ask us to delete your data — just contact us as below.
